We wish to advise that Dr Debbie Phillips and Dr Othman Elfahad have recently left the Gore Medical Centre. Patients who may have seen these GPs in the past will be assigned to other doctors when they contact us for an appointment.
The practice will also be offering optional virtual consults with a GP. These consults will take place in a room at the Gore Medical Centre and will involve the patient liaising with the GP via a video call. There will be an option to have a Health Care Assistant attend the consult in the event that the GP requires measurements such as blood pressure or weight to be taken.
Like many other general practices, Gore Medical is actively recruiting new doctors, which takes time – especially for overseas recruitment and amid a nationwide GP shortage and strong competition across New Zealand.
