WOMEN’S HEALTH
We offer a wide range of women’s health services at the practice, carried out by our doctors and nurses who have undertaken the relevant postgraduate training. These are available for both our registered patients and casual patients. Most procedures are funded if you meet the criteria. The procedures we offer are listed below.
Jadelle Insertion and Removal
JADELLE is an effective, reversible contraceptive that prevents pregnancy for up to five years. Two thin, flexible rods containing a hormone are inserted just under the skin of your upper arm.
IUD/Mirena Insertion/Jaydess
A flexible plastic device is fitted securely and safely into your womb to treat a range of health conditions and provide contraception.
Vulva Surgery
Skin biopsy and specific surgical procedures that are medically indicated.
Pipelle Endometrial Biopsy
A test to check the health of your endometrial lining and rule out cancer or precancerous changes.
Pessary Fitting and Removal
A vaginal pessary is a soft, removable device that goes in your vagina. It supports vaginal lumps that are protruding out of, or low into your vagina, to make everyday tasks easier.
