AFTER HOURS SERVICES
The Gore Medical Centre shares the on-call roster with the Gore Health Centre. If you require urgent medical assistance outside of normal clinic hours:
- In a life-threatening emergency, always dial 111 and ask for ‘ambulance’
- From 5.00pm until 8.00am on weekdays, all weekends and public holidays, call our daytime phone number 03 208 9222 to speak to Ka Ora Telecare. You will be greeted by a Kaiawhina or Registered Nurse who will assess and advise on your health needs. You can either see a clinician directly or you may choose to schedule an appointment later in the evening. If you book an appointment, you will have a specific time to connect directly with the Ka Ora medical team over phone or video. If you need an urgent appointment after 10.00pm, please call Ka Ora direct on 0800 252 672.
- There are urgent clinics held each Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 10.00-11.00am and 6.00-7.00pm. The Gore Medical Centre holds its urgent clinics at the rear of the building. If a doctor from another practice is on call, the urgent clinic is held at the Gore Hospital.
